On Sunday August 16th, we met in the afternoon in Johnny's front yard.
He had chairs and tables and camp stove and barbecue all set up. Johnny prepared fresh corn on the cob and barbecued chicken in his special sauce. We also had Christie's own delectable dip, Barbara's beautifully arranged crudités, Edna Stark's pineapple-cheese jello salad, Kim's Super Salsa, Kathy's crackers and homegrown tomatoes, in addition to potato casserole and sponge cake with ice-cream.
But even better than the delicious food was the camaraderie we all enjoyed, accented with Ethan's and Javod's antics.
Those in attendance were Johnny, Barbara, Clint, Kathy , Sarah, Aaron, Ben, Javod, Judi, Jeannie , Bud, Kim, Wes, ‘Drea, Christie, Edgar, and Ethan.
Shieva wasn't with us because she has relatives here from Iran and is touring with them. Alice is in Huachuca, Arizona with Natasha awaing the birth of the baby. Celestie is off to Honduras taking books to a remote village and helping educate the inhabitants. Because Scott was sick he and his family couldn't attend. We know their thoughts and good wishes were with us.
