Just a note here about Bud's.
Fifteen minutes of Fame, that is, as coined by Andy Warhol.
We are still getting eMails and phone calls by those who witnessed Bud on the evening news as he was being interviewed by Ron Jones, Channel 13, on Jan 6th.
As a Man on the Street, Bud was asked what he thought about California's current budget problems, and what he felt should be cut.
That day, Bud had ridden the lightrail to 16th street and had met up with Tom, good friend and fellow musician in the West Sacramento Symphony Orchestra. As is their custom, they were going to dinner on their way to rehearsal, when the Channel 13 reporter stopped them to ask their opinions regarding the budget.
I got a call from Tom right after that happened and he told me that Bud had answered brilliantly and in great detail. "He really told them!" Tom exclaimed.
Tom said that I should watch the news.
Tom said that I should watch the news.
So I did. And during the 11 o'clock news THERE WAS BUD!! He looked great! Sounded great.
But I think I now know what is meant by sound BITE. or maybe nibble.
Whoever edited the interviews did a very thorough job.
Friends who saw it on the news said they'd never before heard Bud be so succinct.
You know those 15 minutes of fame we're each allowed?
Well, Bud still has coming 14 minutes and 23 seconds!!!

I'd like to know what he had to say!
Congratulations, Bud! I agree with Kim. Could you get Jeannie to help you put together a blog for The Turner Connection that has your complete thoughts on this topic? I would be sincerely interested in hearing what you think!
Anyway, congratulations! I say you deserve a LOT more than 15 minutes of fame! For many reasons--but definitely for being the ABSOLUTELY BEST brother-in-law that a gal could ever have! And that's for SURE!!!!!
