getting up to speed

Well, I guess I haven't been very timely with this blog!
Today we had Thanksgiving dinner at Debi & Johnny's home. (more about that later).
April, Dave's wife, is such a delightful person. I'm sure we've been at parties together before, but I conversed with her more today than ever before. She had made the most delightful pumpkin cheese cake and she liked my yams. What better way to connect than thru food!
I remembered hearing from Dave's mother Toni about the birth of their handicapped baby a few years ago, and following, remotely, his progress thru comments of Toni.
And of course I remembered Dave from when he was a little kid at these family get-togethers.
She gave me her blog address so when we got home tonight from the dinner party I looked it up. I have sat here reading it and looking at the pictures for hours.
Now I love that girl even more! and she is such an inspiration to me! I went to the blogspot.com to start one - but wait! that screen looks very familiar I am thinking. Wait a minute. Could that Turner Connection I set up to (theoretically) keep the family in touch for July 2008 Reunion be a blog? (Seems kind of foolish that I wouldn't remember that it was a blog). So I went to it and found that I hadn't added to it since the reunion plans. :-(
I also went to Liz's "The Woolf Pack" and found that it is a blogspot, also!
Big reform on my part. So here I am. updating.
